I love whittling little objects and wooden animals and it gives me so much joy when people love the finished piece as much as I enjoyed making it, carving by hand over many quiet hours. This wooden Bird has been shaped and finished, then mounted upon a piece of driftwood.
Inspired by my passion for Scandinavian and Japanese design principles which focus on flowing, simple forms and the beauty of the natural material. Everything in my workshop is handmade, one at a time and not mass produced making these little wood carvings, beautiful gifts and unique ornaments.
